A man can add colour to a formal suit through colourful ties (and if its an informal suit through his choice of shirt colour).

As the weather gets warmer, High Street shops such as M&S sell fabulous linen shirts for men in an array of colours as well as polo shirts.

A woman can jazz up a plain High Street suit by changing the buttons to colourful ones for example giving a black suit green buttons rather than keeping them black. Find an inexpensive Drycleaner/Seamstress to change them over…..or even better……save money and try to remember your sewing skills from school and sew on the buttons yourself!

A statement necklace in another colour or a silk scarf that matches with the block colour you are wearing is a way of mixing colours too.

NB! When mixing two colours ensure that the colour closest to your face matches your skin tone too. In other words if you have a ruddy complexion then reds, oranges and pinks should not be close to the face. However, those colours could be worn on the lower half of the body (trousers, shorts, skirts).

So start being adventurous with colour this Spring/Summer!
